Full Disclosure from the top. I am a WIPA member, and proud of it! I don’t expect the average newly engaged couple to know what that means. Like many things in today’s world, the best weddings have the best teams. That’s precisely why you should fill your wedding vendor team with WIPA Vendors. They will make a world of difference in the experience that you and your guests have.
WIPA (Wedding International Professionals Association), founded in 2008, is a leading organization that promotes education, networking, and ethical behavior for its professionals. I joined in 2019 shortly after the chapter formed here in Utah, and now serve on the Chapter Board as the Director of Education. I’m extremely passionate about this because ultimately the quality of the vendors in Utah determines the quality and beauty of the Weddings. Every Bride and Groom deserve the absolute best on their wedding day! And in 2021, it has never been more clear that the businesses we support are becoming a reflection of our values.
Understandably, the question most couples have is “How does that affect me?” Let me be clear, there are thousands of wedding vendors who are amazing and not (yet!) members of WIPA. It is likely that you’ll hire several vendors who aren’t members. Completely expected and fine. But if I was planning my own wedding today, I would try to choose as many WIPA vendors as I possibly could. There are many reasons for this, but let me share just 5 reasons why choosing WIPA members can help make your wedding even more spectacular.
WIPA Vendors are Part of the Community
No, I’m not talking about part of your local community, but rather the wedding community. That may not seem like it matters much in the grand scheme of things, but it’s actually incredibly important. Relationships of trust are key for any good team to function properly. On your wedding day, each of your vendors will be working to give you the service they provide. However, the best wedding vendors understand that they are part of a team to make your wedding spectacular. Working together is paramount. If that unity isn’t there, it can absolutely impact the wedding day.
